Shreveport Rose

Stitchery Guild

The Shreveport Rose Stitchery Guild (SRSG) is the local chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America (EGA).  We are a group dedicated to the purpose of fostering the art of embroidery, which is defined as the process of forming textile designs using a needle with an eye. Some recent programs have included beading, needlepoint and canvas work, hardanger, blackwork and samplers, and various finishing techniques.  We embrace both traditional and contemporary needlework as an art form.

Membership is open to anyone interested in these techniques and we encourage beginners to join. SRSG offers programs, lectures, stitch-ins, mini workshops, longer workshops with nationally known teachers, individual  or group correspondence courses through national EGA and our region SCR, community outreach projects, and wonderful fellowship with other stitchers.

We invite you to become a part of our guild.
